A happy almost Fourth of July to you!  I hope you have a pleasing week planned.

Let's try something a little different in celebration today.  Yesterday was my birthday.  We went over 10,000 views on the blog last week.  It's just about July 4th.  Seems like enough to celebrate!

Locks of Love . . .

One the parts of my job that I love best is helping folks to chronicle important (or ordinary) parts of life.  Getting to capture special moments is unforgettable.

I was thrilled to be asked to come along on sweet Kennedy's journey as she had her hair cut for Locks of Love - this is an awesome little girl doing something awesome for other little people.  Her Mom had the great idea to chronicle before, during, and after the event.

And then a little fun at the park with Mom and little brother.

And a little fun with the 'locks'!

I appreciate the chance to be along on this special journey with this great little friend.  Kennedy's heart shines through all that she does, and I loved being able to document a day in her life!

Precious People . . .

Last week I had an awesome opportunity . . . I got to photograph the two children of my cousin.  What made it even more special was that I have never gotten to see these precious children and my own kids have never even met them!  Suffice it to say, they hit it off.  If you had seen them together, you would have imagined that they had always known each other, grown up together.  It was fun to see.  It was another reminder about how fortunate I am to be able to bring my passions together - my passion for pressing pause and doing so with people I love.

Ohhhhh, those eyes.  I just wonder what all he will see!

You never know when you might have to take a call on the nearest Easter egg.

Yep . . . just met.  This is an image I don't want to forget.  Thankful.
